Course objectives:
|
The course aims at developing skills of a complex text analysis. It deepens students' previous knowledge of the Russian language system, consolidates and generalizes their knowledge concerning all planes of the language system (phonetic, lexical, morphological, syntactic, and stylistic). It leads students from an isolated knowledge of individual language units towards their complex interpretation within the text and understanding the deep structure of the text. With support of a complex language analysis on the text level, students increase their grammatical and stylistic sensitivity, revise linguistic terminology and enrich their vocabulary. This way of analysis develops the conditions for the scientific thinking, well-founded approach to the assessment of linguistic phenomena and deeper understanding the studied language. The complex text analysis is chosen as the most effective method of systemizing special knowledge and as an important stage of preparation for the final state exam in Russian.
